A backdrop is just one of the many ingredients to make a great photobooth experience. But it is no surprise that everybody wants to have a great one. Here are some ideas on choosing your photobooth backdrop.
Plain is beautiful. We love plain backdrops because they accentuate the main subject, you! (and your guests, of course). Also, because pictures from photbooths are typically printed within some form of graphical layout/theme, a plain background will just blend well with just about anything. You can keep plain cloth backgrounds stretched for a seamless effect or have it draped for some texture.
Patterns. A well selected photo backdrop should work hand in hand with the event theme and the photo print layout. There’s a bit more to go wrong here and perhaps a bit more temptation to go overboard with the designs. We think classy vintage backdrops look awesome on formal events.
Step and Repeat. Who isn’t fascinated by the backdrops in red carpet events. It will certainly make anyone feel like a star! Not only does it look good in photos but also creates a great atmosphere during the event. A big downside is the cost to produce these things.
Last, but definitely not the least… and perhaps carries the most potential…
No backdrop. What? No backdrop? Yes! There’s a lot of possibilities when not using a backdrop. Look around your venue and you may realise that there may already be a great background to start with. Brick walls with rustic elements are fantastic. Even a corrugated rusty old garage door will look beautiful when mixed with proper lighting! When there is no backdrop, it creates an opportunity to tie the photos back to the event venue.
